**New**-Axis restaurant - Axis occupies part of the ground floor and overlooks the courtyard of the Hilton
Islington. Light, stylish and contemporary, Axis does a very good job of keeping
up with the Joneses (the Business Design Exhibition Centre is next door). A very
designed space, it is furnished with comfortable sofas and makes the perfect
place to unwind in front of the dramatic floor-to-ceiling windows.
The food is a combination of traditional British specialities and Mediterranean
dishes. Diners are predominantly business people and hotel guests, though
couples do come in the evening, when low lighting and candlelight create a nice
romantic atmosphere.
